Volvo has announced plans to show the Concept XC Coupe in January 2014 at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit on January 13. This interesting concept gives us a clue regarding what to expect from the highly anticipated next generation of the XC90 set to be unveiled towards the end of next year before going on sale in early 2015. We are essentially dealing with an SUV that has adopted a sportier coupe silhouette and will find out more about on January 8 when it will be presented online.
Since this serves as a preview of the next-gen XC90, we should mention Volvo’s new flagship SUV will be based on the SPA – Scalable Product Architecture and will be offered with the company’s new Drive-E engines. It should be noted the new XC90 is going to be Volvo’s first model developed under Geely ownership.
