2013 Audi A3 Sportback gets AS3 package from ABT
German tuner ABT Sportsline has recently developed an aftermarket program for the 2013 Audi A3 Sportback. At first they focused their attention on two engines: the 1.4-liter TFSI gasoline unit and the 2.0-liter TDI power unit. The former in its stock configuration is able to unleash 122 HP (90 kW) and a peak torque of 148 lb-ft (200 Nm). After making the necessary modifications, ABT’s engineers were able to boost its output to 160 HP (118 kW) and a maximum torque of 185 lb-ft (250 Nm). The diesel has 150 HP (110 kW) and 236 lb-ft (320 Nm) as standard, while after the changes it does 170 HP (125 kW) and 265 lb-ft (360 Nm) of torque.
Aside from the much welcomed power boost, the 2013 Audi A3 Sportback by ABT Sportsline features a rear skirt set with a 4-pipe exhaust, a beefy front spoiler lip and an updated rear spoiler. They have also installed bespoke chassis springs which have been able to bring the car closer to the ground by 35mm.
Stopping the car are 345mm discs featuring steel flex brake lines. Customers have the possibility of opting for one of the many 18- or even 19-inch DR rims. Chances are we will be able to see the car next month at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
