2013 SRT Viper available for order
SRT is now taking orders for the 2013 Viper that can be ordered in two versions. The standard model will set you back $97,395 while the GTS version which comes with more equipment is priced at $120,395. These two prices do not include a hefty $1,995 destination charge.
At the heart of the 2013 SRT Viper is an impressive mid-front V10 8.4-liter capable of generating no less than 640 hp and a maximum torque of 600 lb-ft. According to the Chrysler Group, this power unit develops the most torque compared to any other naturally-aspirated sports-car engine in the entire world.
That amazing horsepower is sent to the rear wheels with the help of a six-speed Tremec TR6060 manual gearbox that benefits from closer gear ratios and also a final drive ratio that has been shortened by SRT’s engineers to 3.55 from 3.07. As a result, the 2013 Viper is able to reach a top speed of 331 km/h (206 mph) through its sixth gear with the power unit running at 6,200 rpm.
