2013 SRT Viper has a base price of $97,395
Earlier this year during the New York Auto Show, Chrysler revealed to the world the all-new generation of the Viper. However, they did not provide any sort of information in regards to the price tag of the new model but now we know that it has a starting price of $97,395, not taking into account the destination fee which adds $1,995 to the car’s price tag.
This means that the vehicle has a starting price of $99,390, making it about $15,000 more affordable than one its main competitors, the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. SRT also revealed the price tag of the 2013 Viper GTS which begins at $120,395, without that destination fee.
The 2013 SRT Viper GTS is powered by the same engine as the regular model, a huge V10 8.4-liter unit that is capable of pumping out 640 hp and a maximum torque of 600 lb-ft. The immense power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox. The GTS model is pricier because it rides on forged aluminum Venom 6-spoke rims and comes with a two-mode active suspension, among other additional goodies.
Both versions of the new Viper will be manufactured at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant located in Detroit, the same place where all the Vipers have been made ever since the first generation of the car came out back in 1995. The new model will be available for order starting with mid-November this year.
