Suzuki has announced a facelift for its Jimny compact 4×4 model and it now has arrived in the United Kingdom where it has a starting price of 11,995 pounds for the entry-level SZ3 variant, followed by the SZ4 with a manual at 12,900 or with an automatic transmission at 13,800 pounds. Prices have remained the same in comparison to the previous model.
The only changes that we notice on the outside are of the front bumper and the design of the grille that now features five slots, while the redesigned hood is hosting an air scoop mounted in the center.
Due to the new shape of the front bumper, the 2013 Suzuki Jimny has grown in overall length a little bit by 30mm to 3,675mm. Customers are able to order the off-roader with a new Breeze Blue metallic paint. Moving inside the cabin there are new front and rear headrests and as standard it comes with ISOFIX child seat mountings for the rear seats. The entry-level SZ3 model is now being offered as standard with new seat fabric trims.
Under the hood it has the same 1.3-liter gasoline engine that produces 84 hp and has a peak torque of 81 lb-ft reached at 4,100 rpm. When fitted with the manual transmission, the 2013 Jimny is capable of returning 39.8 mpg UK on the combined cycle and 38.7 mpg UK when equipped with the automatic gearbox. CO2 emissions stand at 162 g/km (manual) and 167 g/km (automatic).
