BMW USA has announced the 2014 X5 will be available for an entry-level price tag of $53,725 (including $925 destination charge). This price is applicable for the X5 sDrive35i model in the rear-wheel drive disguise, while the all-wheel drive xDrive35i model can be had from at least $56,025. Regardless of the one you choose, under the hood they both have an inline-six TwinPower Turbo 3.0-liter mill generating 300 bhp and 300 lb-ft of torque. At an additional cost (from $57,525), customers can pick the xDrive35d that is motivated by a TwinPower Turbo inline-six diesel producing 255 bhp and 413 lb-ft.
BMW USA is also offering the xDrive50i from $69,125 which makes use of a twin-turbo, V8 4.4-liter power unit delivering 445 bhp and 480 lb-ft. Gasoline-powered models will reach dealerships in Q4 2013, while the diesel model will go on sale at the beginning of next year.
