2014 Cadillac CTS first official images released

These are the first official images with the 2014 Cadillac CTS facelift ahead of the car’s public reveal set for this week at the 2014 New York Auto Show. It makes use of Cadillac’s Art and Science design language and has been equipped with teardrop LED taillights which have certainly made the car look considerably more elegant compared to its predecessor. Inside the cabin it seems to take a lot of styling cues from the ATS and XTS models, with a big touchscreen display part of the CUE infotainment system, while the analog instrument cluster has been replaced by a more modern digital display.

Under the hood it can be configured with a new twin-turbo V6 3.6-liter engine rated at 420 bhp (313 kW) and 583 Nm (430 lb-ft) of torque. When this mill is mated to the revised 8-speed automatic gearbox, the 2014 Cadillac CTS is able to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in approximately 4.6 seconds before reaching a top speed of 170 mph (274 km/h).

Customers can also order the car with a naturally-aspirated V6 3.6-liter power unit churning 321 bhp (239 kW), along with a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged providing 272 bhp (203 kW). Also in the pipeline is the range-topping CTS-V model which will feature a V8 engine.
