2014 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible breaks cover
In a couple of weeks at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany, Chevrolet will showcase the lightly updated 2014 Camaro Convertible. It carries many of the styling updates from its fixed roof sibling, including the reworked front and rear bumpers, tweaked headlights and taillights and a modified front grille.
Moving inside the cabin and there’s a brand new MyLink infotainment system that comes with a generous 8-inch display with touchscreen capabilities and support for AUX/USB/Bluetooth connectivity.
The European version of the updated Camaro Convertible will be offered with a V8 6.2-liter mill outputting 432 HP (318 kW) and 420 lb-ft (569 Nm) of torque. The same engine powers the coupe which sprints to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.2 seconds, while the convertible is 0.2 seconds slower due to the increased curb weight.
Scheduled to hit European dealerships later this year, the refreshed Camaro Convertible will be available in Germany from a base price of 44,990 euros, while the coupe is 5,000 euros cheaper.
