2014 Mercedes-Benz GLA teased
It was almost four months ago during the 2013 Auto Shanghai when the German automaker Mercedes-Benz unveiled the GLA Concept. Now, on their official Facebook account, M-B has published two design sketches with the GLA, in anticipation of the car’s debut which will take place next month at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany. If you haven’t heard anything about this car, we should mention that it’s essentially a high-riding version of the A-Class hatchback. In other words, expect a compact crossover with a two-bar front grille, bulging fenders and a spoiler mounted on the spoiler. On the inside the design and layout should mirror that of the A-Class.
Since it will utilize the same platform, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz GLA will have just about the same engine lineup as its more conventional hatchback sibling, including the beefy turbocharged 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine which should deliver as much as 360 HP (265 kW). As you might have guessed already, this engine will be available for the range-topping GLA45 AMG.
