2014 Smart ForTwo CityBeam special edition introduced
Smart is kicking off in 2014 with yet another special edition of the soon-to-be-replaced ForTwo that goes by the name of CityBeam. The vehicle is being showcased this weekend at the Brussels Motor Show and comes with a silver tridion safety cell while the body panels can have one of the following hues: silver metallic, matte anthracite or light blue. It has been equipped with double three-spoke 15-inch alloys wrapped around in 175/55 R15 tires at the front and 195/50 R15 rubbers for the rear axle. We also notice the edition logos, titanium-colored headlights and LED daytime running lights.
Under the hood it can get a tiny 1.0-liter 3-cylinder gasoline engine with 71 HP or 84 HP, with the former being a turbocharged variant. There’s also a third option in the form of a 75 HP electric motor.
The cheapest model is the coupe packing the naturally-aspirated 71 HP engine priced at 14,490 euros while the most expensive one will set you back a hefty 22,951 euros for the cabriolet with the electric motor for which you will pay 65 EUR each month to rent the batteries.
