2015 Dodge Viper SRT officially rated at 645 bhp

Dodge has unleashed the 2015 Viper SRT which comes with a minor power hike of 5 bhp (3 kW). As a result, the V10 8.4-liter engine is now capable of developing no less than 645 bhp (481 kW) and 812 Nm (600 lb-ft) of torque. It works with an updated six-speed manual gearbox that now allows the vehicle to return 20 mpg on the highway, representing a 1 mpg increase compared to the 2014MY which used the SRT name.

Slotting between the familiar Viper and Viper GTS will be a mid-range GT variant that comes with all the goodies that you get on the base model but adds a five-mode electronic stability control system, a driver-selectable suspension, special accent stitching and Nappa leather & Alcantara seat upholstery.

Dodge will also be offering a Viper TA 2.0 Special Edition based on the Viper SRT Time Attack that encompasses a new aerodynamic package, a race-tuned suspension, Brembo braking system, carbon fiber X-brace, Sabelt racing seats, Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires + Sidewinder II wheels and orange stitching. Only 96 cars will be made and these will be available in Venom Black, Yorange and Competition Blue colors.


There’s also a Viper GTS Ceramic Blue Edition limited to 40 cars which all have an exclusive Ceramic Blue body paint featuring black stripes. It also comes with Black Vapor Chrome Rattler wheels, Ceramic Blue fuel filler door, Satin Black exhaust bezel, carbon fiber rear applique and orange brake calipers. Inside it gets GTS badging, a carbon fiber trim, silver accent stitching and a combination of Nappa leather and Alcantara for the upholstery.
