Ford applied a facelift on the Focus ST range about four months ago and now they have announced pricing details for the UK-spec model. Starting at £22,195, the five-door hatchback comes with a EcoBoost 2.0-liter engine pumping out 250 HP and 360 Nm which propels the vehicle to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.5 seconds before hitting a top speed of 154 mph (247 km/h). The Focus ST Estate can be had from £23,295 and will do the sprint in 6.7 seconds and reach the same top speed as its hatchback sibling.
For the first time ever, Ford is offering the Focus ST with a diesel engine in the form of a 2.0-liter TDCi generating 185 HP and 400 Nm. Equipped with this engine, the hatchback (from £22,115) runs the sprint in 8.1 seconds whereas the estate (from £23,215) does it in 8.3 seconds, with both of them managing a top speed of 135 mph (217 km/h).
As far as fuel consumption is concerned, the gasoline Focus ST hatchback consumes 6.8 liters / 100 km which is significantly more than the diesel which needs just 4.2 liters / 100 km.
Ford has announced deliveries in UK of the Focus ST will begin in February 2015.
