2015MY Chevrolet Trax breaks cover
Chevrolet has announced plans to offer the Trax in North America and by the looks of these official images it will carry over the design of its European counterpart. The crossover has received a dual-port front grille, muscular rear fenders and sweptback headlights. We also notice the plastic body cladding and according to Chevrolet the model will be available with a variety of alloy wheels in sizes ranging from 16 to 18 inches. On the inside there are a few metallic accents, a motorcycle-like instrument cluster and a 7-inch screen part of the MyLink infotainment system.
Power will be provided exclusively by a 4-cylinder, 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline engine generating 138 bhp and a peak torque of 148 lb-ft working together with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and an optional AWD setup. The 2015 Trax will be available with OnStar 4G LTE with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, as well as Siri Eyes Free technology and leatherette upholstery.
Sales of the model are slated to kick off early 2015.
