2016 Audi A4 grabs all five starts at Euro NCAP crash test
The 2016 Audi A4 has been given a maximum five-star rating in the most recent Euro NCAP crash test. As you would expect from a premium model with the four ring logo, the latest generation A4 scored high in the crash testing and it also got a “Euro NCAP advanced” special award as a result of its standard multicollision brake assist system which will automatically apply the brakes in case of an accident. This special award was also given thanks to the car’s optional Audi pre sense basic system which will tighten the seatbelts and close the sunroof and windows right before a crash.
Another standard system offered by Audi in their new A4 is the pre sense city which works at speeds of up to 85 km/h and detects whether there are cars or pedestrians in the vehicle’s path. If a hazard is detected, the driver will notice acoustic and visual warnings which will be followed by a jolt of the brakes and eventually the automatic emergency brake will be activated.
Those willing to pay more can get the 2016 Audi A4 with an optional collision avoidance assist system, an exit warning system and many other safety features that significantly lower the risk of injuries for both the driver and the passengers.
