The 2016 BMW Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe has been officially introduced with a series of tweaks. The new model year has brought a modified front fascia with a lightly updated grille while the front spoiler has also been tweaked. Also noticeable are the blue brake calipers, new B6 badging and a revised hood along with standard LED adaptive headlights featuring high beam assistant technology.
The most significant changes are noticeable under the hood where the V8 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine is now 60 bhp (45 kW) and 67 Nm (50 lb-ft) more powerful than it was last year so it now develops an impressive 600 bhp (447 kW) and 799 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. All that power is channeled to an xDrive all-wheel drive system through an 8-speed automatic transmission that has been modified by Alpina.
This hardware setup grants the 2016 BMW Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe with a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 200 mph (321 km/h) which has been electronically limited.
