2016 Lincoln MKC breaks cover
The 2016 Lincoln MKC has been introduced in United States and comes with an array of enhancements. The new model year brings additional body paints such as Burgundy Velvet Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Luxe Metallic and Black Velvet. Some of the versions now come with a standard power liftgate and there’s also a White Sands/Espresso interior cabin on select versions. Those who order the Climate Package will also receive a windshield wiper de-icer while the optional Trailer Tow Package grants the crossover with a maximum towing capacity of 3,000 lbs. The infotainment system has now been updated to Ford’s SYNC3 which should be faster and more responsive than the old version.
There’s nothing new going on in the engine department so the 2016 Lincoln MKC is offered with a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine delivering 240 bhp and 270 lb-ft along with a beefier 2.3-liter EcoBoost pushing out 285 bhp and 305 lb-ft. The MKC is available with the Lincoln Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system with continuously controlled damping and at an additional cost can be specified with an all-glass panoramic Vista Roof.
The 2016 Lincoln MKC is programmed to go on sale in the following months and will kick off at $34,185 if you factor in the additional $925 destination charge.
