The 2016 Mazda CX-5 has brought its fresh updates to this year’s edition of the Los Angeles Auto Show. The stylish crossover is slated to reach dealerships sometime next year and will come with a slightly different front grille as well as tweaked headlights. Mazda has added new 19-inch alloy wheels and increased the color range by adding Titanium Flash Mica and Sonic Silver Metallic body paints. More significant modifications can be noticed inside the cabin where there are more premium materials, along with a new center console and center stack. Other changes include updated upholstery, more sound deadening material and better seats.
The US-spec 2016 Mazda CX-5 can be configured with a SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter gasoline engine outputting 155 bhp (115 kW) and 203 Nm (150 lb-ft). If this isn’t enough, opt for the beefier SKYACTIV-G 2.5-liter which delivers 184 bhp (137 kW) and 249 Nm (185 lb-ft).
Europeans get a more generous engine lineup which kicks off with a SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter offered with 160 HP & 208 Nm and 165 HP & 210 Nm. There’s also a SKYACTIV-G 2.5-liter with 192 HP & 256 Nm along with a SKYACTIV-D 2.2-liter rated at 150 HP & 380 Nm and 175 HP & 420 Nm.
