2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Price Announced

Mercedes-Benz, the German luxury automaker, has announced the pricing of the recently unveiled 2016 E-Class sedan. The price for the 2016 Mercedes E-Class would start from $49,436 for the entry-level E200 variant which comes with a 2.0L petrol engine. The deliveries are expected to start in May. The 2016 E-Class is quite costlier than the preceding model, but is pretty advanced and upmarket in terms of technology and features.

Talking about the features, the 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class gets Garmin Map Pilot navigation system with 8.4-inch display, Parktronic parking sensors with reversing camera and Park Pilot self-parking system, Collision Prevention Assist Plus autonomous emergency braking system, Pre-Safe anticipatory safety system, 64-colour selectable LED interior lighting, two-zone automatic climate control, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel with dual touchpads, leather upholstery with heated front seats, LED headlights and taillights, electrically folding mirrors and 17-inch wheels.

Coming to the diesel variants, the E 220 d and E 350d would have a sticker price of $51,424 and $60,675, respectively. The 2016 Mercedes-Benz E 220 d would be powered by an all-new 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder bi-turbo engine. It would develop a maximum power of 195hp and peak torque of 400 Nm. The engine would be paired with a 9-speed 9G-Tronic automatic gearbox. As for E 350 d, it would get the 6-cylinder motor which would belt out 258hp of top power and 620Nm of highest torque. The company has planned a petrol-electric hybrid E 350 e, which would be introduced later this year.
