2017 Mercedes-Benz SL officially teased
The 2017 Mercedes-Benz SL facelift is making its debut online, but it’s only an official teaser image to inform us a full reveal is on its way. It will happen on November 17 on the dawn of the Los Angeles Auto Show where the Daimler-owned marque is going to introduce its big roadster that’s about to receive a mid-cycle nip and tuck to keep it fresh and bring it more in line with the rest of the models wearing the prestigious tri-star logo. We only get to see the front fascia in the attached teaser image and it seems the revised SL will have more in common with the AMG GT.
There are new headlights which now incorporate the LED daytime running lights while the upside down grille has a diamond finish to make the car look more upscale. There are some minor changes to the front bumper as well and although we don’t get to see the rear end in this teaser image, we know for sure the taillights will receive all-red graphics and there are going to be some subtle revisions of the bumper as well, but nothing to write home about.
An updated infotainment system, new safety & assistance kit are likely on the menu for the interior cabin, along with fresh upholstery choices and new trims.
