370 bhp Volkswagen Golf R Evo concept planned?

Rumors around the online automotive media are suggesting Volkswagen is planning a Golf R Evo concept which could be unveiled at this year’s Beijing Motor Show prior to the launch of a production version sometime in the near future. Underneath the hood will be a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine featuring brand new cylinder heads, an uprated induction system along with other similar updates. As a result of making these tweaks, the mill could deliver as much as 370 bhp and 332 lb-ft of torque.
Aside from featuring more power, the Golf R Evo concept could adopt carbon fiber body panels and a stripped-out interior cabin to shed as much weight as possible and it seems Volkswagen is targeting a weight below 1,400 kg.
