Volkswagen could put CrossBlue concept into production

The German automaker Volkswagen is analyzing right now whether it’s worth putting the CrossBlue concept into production. At the moment VW is talking to potential customers as well as dealers to gauge feedback regarding the 7-seat SUV and figure out if it will be profitable to put the car into production phase. For the moment it seems production costs are a bit high but this can go down after several tweaks. If the car will be green lighted for production, the vehicle will be manufactured either in United States at the firm’s Chattanooga factory or in Mexico. They could also decide to open up a new factory in the U.S. if they receive enough subsidies from the local authorities.

No chances of seeing the CrossBlue produced in Canada because Volkswagen says it would be too far from the firm’s supply base. VW is really hoping to put the car into production as it represents a crucial model in the company’s bold goal of increasing annual sales in the United States to an impressive 800,000 units by the year 2018. We already know the company has plans of setting up at least ten new factories and seven of them will be in China, one of VW’s most important markets right now.
