Porsche teases 2014 Macan

Porsche has released a teaser for its brand new model, the Macan, which will be slotted below the Cayenne in the company’s lineup. The car will be properly unveiled next month at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show before reaching production phase in mid-December. Engine details are scarce at this moment but we expect the German crossover to get a V6 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine, along with a 3.6-liter V6 twin-turbo outputting about 395 bhp and a peak torque of 550 Nm in the Macan Turbo. Also in the works is a base model which could even get a four-cylinder engine, but this hasn’t been confirmed.

The 2014 Porsche Macan is going to use PDK and manual gearboxes which will do their job at sending the engine’s output to an all-wheel drive setup which will be rear-biased. This hardware configuration will also include a Torsen limited-slip differential.
