Subaru outs XV Black special edition in UK

Subaru is introducing a special edition of XV in the United Kingdom for potential buyers of a Black version which comes with an array of modest revisions mostly limited to design. The vehicle will be offered only with an exclusive exterior paint scheme called Crystal Black Silica along with front & rear and side silver-resin under guards which provide the car with a more rugged appearance. In addition, the XV Black boasts front and rear mud flaps, heavy duty rubber floor mats, foldable cargo tray and a cargo step panel.

In terms of hardware, the Subaru XV Black will be available with a 2.0-liter Boxer gasoline engine connected to a Lineartronic gearbox or with a 2.0-liter Boxer diesel mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The gasoline-powered version kicks off at 24,495 pounds while the diesel-running variant will set you back at least 24,995 pounds.

According to Subaru, the XV Black is only 1,000 pounds more expensive than the SE model it is based on and it brings extra equipment which if bought individually would have increased the car’s price tag by 1,600 pounds. Standard goodies worth mentioning include the heated front seats, folding mirrors, cruise control, dual-zone air conditioning, rearview safety camera, Bluetooth, rear privacy glass and Vehicle Dynamics Control system.
