Several months ago we saw the all-new Kia Sorento in European and South Korean specifications and now the SUV has returned to show its US-spec configuration. There are some visual differences as the American variant has gained chrome alloy wheels while the side mirrors also feature the same finish. Moreover, the fog lights adopt an “ice cube” configuration while the headlights come with orange signals which are mandatory in United States. Kia says the 2016MY Sorento is going to be commercialized in L, LX, EX, SX and SXL trim levels and will be offered both with five and seven seats.
There’s no word yet about what powers the US-spec 2016 Kia Sorento but we should mention the European model can be had with a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine rated at 188 HP and 241 Nm along with a couple of diesels in the form of a 2.0-liter with 185 HP and 402 Nm along with a 2.2-liter rated at 200 HP and 441 Nm.
Kia will fully reveal the 2016 Sorento in US specification later this month during the Los Angeles Auto Show.
