2017 Dubuc Motors Tomahawk previewed

The 2017 Dubuc Motors Tomahawk is being previewed by the unknown Canadian company who promises it will go on sale sometime in 2016. The creators are describing the model as being “Tesla’s cousin” and is a 2+2 electric sportscar equipped with two electric motors, a range-extending engine as well as an all-wheel drive system. Exact technical specifications have not been disclosed but Dubuc Motors says the Tomahawk will cover the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) sprint in “just over three seconds” and will keep on accelerating until hitting a top speed of 140 mph (225 km/h).

With a maximum electric range estimated at 275 miles (442 km), the 2017 Dubuc Motors Tomahawk will have a starting price of less than $100,000 and will use a bespoke aluminum architecture. This versatile platform is flexible and can support a wide variety of body styles, including a commercial cargo van. The Tomahawk will be spacious enough to fit a driver with a maximum height of 6’ 5” and a 275 lbs (125 kg) weight.

Besides the Tomahawk sports car, Dubuc Motors will also introduce a taxi in 2016 but details about this vehicle are not available at this point from the Canadian automaker.
