2016 Suzuki Ignis previewed prior to Tokyo Motor Show debut

The 2016 Suzuki Ignis is making an early online appearance and will be official introduced at the end of this month in Tokyo. This is basically a production version of the iM-4 concept introduced earlier this year and as you can see it adopts a rather cute exterior design, albeit the taillights could have been a little bit prettier as they don’t seem to perfectly match the car’s looks. Nevertheless, it’s an interesting solution for an affordable city car which is cheap to run and maintain while that generous road clearance makes it more suitable when driving on bumpy roads.

As far as the interior cabin is concerned, the 2016 Suzuki Ignis adopts a simple yet efficient layout with the dashboard dominated by the infotainment system which incorporates a tablet-style touchscreen display and you will notice the center tunnel has body-colored accents while the two-tone dashboard spices things up.

The 2016 Suzuki Ignis will be available with a three-cylinder turbocharged 1.0-liter gasoline engine and a 1.2-liter motor featuring a SHVS mild hybrid system. It will obviously adopt a standard front wheel drive layout but at an additional cost clients will be able to configure the model with an optional 4×4 setup.
