Wiesmann bringing GT MF4-CS to Geneva Motor Show

Specialty German automaker Wiesmann has announced several days ago the GT MF4-CS which will be making its public appearance at the beginning of next month during the 2013 edition of the Geneva Motor Show. We are dealing with the club sport edition of the firm’s current GT MF4-S and this newer version will be manufactured in only 25 units. No in-depth details have been provided so far but Wiesmann did say it will boast “pure performance-oriented racing elements” and also it will be lighter than the current model so expect to see a more powerful and agile sports car which will most likely come with a hefty price tag given the limited edition status.

To refresh your memory, the Wiesmann GT MF4-S was launched about four years ago and packs a 4.0-liter V8 engine taken from the BMW M3 (E92). It churns 420 HP (309 kW) and is linked as standard to a six-speed manual gearbox or a dual-clutch, seven-speed automatic transmission which directs the power to the car’s rear wheels. Wiesmann GT MF4-S has a curb weight of 3,020 lbs (1,370 kg) and rides on 18-inch alloy wheels covered by 245/45 R18 rubbers.
