Toyota introduces 2014 Sai at home in Japan

You are looking at the facelifted Toyota Sai which has just been introduced back at home in Japan. It looks considerably more aggressive than the model it replaces thanks to the entirely redesigned front grille and the LED headlights. At the back it has gained a sportier bumper and an updated trunk featuring elegant full-length taillights. Toyota has introduced new 16-inch rims and three additional exterior paint schemes called Clear Stream Metallic, Grey Mica Metallic and Red Mica Metallic. The interior has been overhauled as it has materials of higher quality, a new center console, metal-plated accents, extra wood grain trim and updated switchgear.

Under the hood of the 2014 Toyota Sai facelift is a 2.4-liter engine producing 150 HP and 138 lb-ft which works in tandem with an electric motor that has 143 HP and 199 lb-ft. The combined output stands at 190 HP and according to Toyota the car has a fuel economy rating of 22.4 km/l in the JC08 test cycle.


Already on sale in Japan, the facelifted Sai kicks off at ¥3,210,000.
