Abarth launches 695 Fuori Serie

Later on this week during the 2012 Paris Motor Show, Abarth will introduce the Fuori Serie program that will give the company’s clients the possibility of getting in touch with the engineers, mechanics and designers working at Abarth to customize just about any aspect of their car. This is a follow-up to Fiat’s own two versions and the latest one comes not only with more paint finishes and decals options available, but also with other types of customization like racing pedals, sports seats, carbon fiber trim pieces and a Harman JBL sound system.

The car seen in these photos is based on the Tributo Ferrari and Tributo Maserati limited editions.

Motivation comes from a small yet potent 1.4-liter, 4-cylinder turbo engine with 178 bhp which is connected to the automated manual Abarth Competizione gearbox that comes with paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel. Thanks to this hardware configuration, the Abarth 695 Fuori Serie is capable of doing the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in less than 7 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 140 mph.

Just like previous versions of the Abarth 695, this one too is equipped with a MacPherson strut front suspension and a torsion beam rear layout. The car rides on a bespoke set of 17-inch alloy wheels and is fitted with Brembo brake discs for all four wheels, with the ones in front measuring 305mm while at the back the discs measure 240mm.
