Alfa Romeo 4C confirmed for next month’s NY Auto Show
After years of waiting and anticipation, Alfa Romeo is finally making its return in the United States as the company has announced the 4C will be exhibited next month during the 2014 New York International Auto Show at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. The Italian marque hasn’t said anything about when the car will effectively go on sale Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne previously mentioned the model will hit dealerships towards the end of June.
The Alfa Romeo 4C is a lightweight, two-seater, rear-wheel drive coupe equipped with a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and a dual-clutch gearbox. It’s powered by a 4-cylinder, 1.75-liter turbocharged gasoline engine rated at 240 HP and 350 Nm of torque. Tipping the scales at just 895 kg, the 4C needs 4.5 seconds to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) before topping out at 160 mph (258 km/h).
