Aston Martin has introduced today the V12 Vantage S Roadster which represents the most powerful and fastest roadster to ever wear the AM badge. It’s a follow-up of the V12 Vantage S Coupe and comes with a series of carbon fiber bits and pieces together with a ventilated hood and titanium silver or black accents. The interior cabin has been carried over from its fixed roof sibling but there is a new seat and door trim along with an optional carbon fiber package adding a carbon fiber trim, black alloy pedals and carbon fiber door handles.
Its heart and soul is a V12 6.0-liter engine outputting 565 bhp (421 kW) and a maximum torque of 457 lb-ft (620 Nm) delivered to the wheels through a 7-speed Sportshift III gearbox. This hardware setup enables the model to perform the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) sprint in 3.9 seconds and 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.1 seconds on its way onto a top speed of 201 mph (323 km/h).
Aston Martin has equipped the V12 Vantage S Roadster with a two-stage anti-lock braking system, an adaptive damping system, a three-stage dynamic stability control system as well as carbon ceramic brakes and a Sport mode.
