Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 to race at Nurburgring 24 Hours
Legendary British marque Aston Martin has officially announced its plans of taking part in this year’s edition of the Nürburgring 24 Hour race by using the GT3 variant of the V12 Vantage.
The car will be wearing an attractive Bilstein yellow and blue livery and will be driven by the Aston Martin Racing works drivers Darren Turner from United Kingdom, Stefan Mucke from Germany, Allan Simonsen from Denmark and Pedro Lamy from Portugal.
Under the hood of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 will be a heavily modified variant of the company’s V12 6.0-liter engine which will be tuned to output in excess of 600 bhp (447 kW) and a peak torque of no less than 516 lb-ft (700 Nm). However, because of current applicable race regulations, the output of the mill will be limited to around 550 bhp (410 kW).
