ATS and Torino Design unveil Wild Twelve concept

Automobili Turismo e Sport (ATS) in association with Torino Design has unveiled the Wild Twelve concept. It made its debut a few days ago in Torino, Italy at the Parco Valentino Salone and is now heading towards production which is programmed to commence in 2016. Only 30 units will ever be made and assembly is going to take place in Campogalliano at a former Bugatti factory where they built the EB110 in the 90s. The concept was styled by Centro Stile di Torino Design led by Giuliano Biasio and seems to adopt a fresh take with an Italian flavor in the supercar segment.

Motivation of the Wild Twelve concept is provided by a twin-turbo V12 3.8-liter engine teamed up with two electric motors to generate a maximum combined output of 860 PS (632 kW) and 918 Nm (678 lb-ft) of torque. Power is channeled to both axles with help from a 9-speed automatic transmission which allows the vehicle run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) journey in 2.6 seconds, 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) in 6.2 seconds before hitting a top speed of 242 mph (390 km/h).

As a final note, the Wild Twelve concept is able to provide an electric range of up to 19 miles (30 km) thanks to the lithium-ion battery pack.
