Audi’s UK division has announced this week that the Q3 compact crossover will be offered with a four-cylinder, 1.4-liter TFSI engine. It will be the lineup’s new entry-level model carrying a starting price of 23,870 pounds. It will be available exclusively with FWD along with a choice of either a six-speed manual gearbox or an optional S tronic seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The four-banger can churn 150 HP and a maximum torque of 250 Nm and allows the Q3 to run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) journey in 9.2s with the manual and in 8.9s with the S tronic. Both of them will do a maximum speed of 126 mph (203 km/h).
Aside from the new engine, Audi is inaugurating an S Line Plus trim level for the UK-spec Q3 which costs and additional 2,350 pounds over the S Line version. It can be had with 2.0-liter TFSI and 2.0-liter TDI engines and is nicely equipped with 19-inch rims, 6.5-inch display, satellite navigation (SD card-based), cruise control, perforated leather and Alcantara upholstery, along with a privacy glass which extends from the B-pillars rearwards.
