The Audi R8 LM is making its debut exclusively for the Canadian market and only eight cars will ever be made. This is a last hurrah for the first generation of the supercar and it’s basically the R8 LMX without the laser headlights, dark finish of the 19-inch rims and with a white paint instead of the Ara Blue which was actually offered only on the LMX. We don’t have images with the interior cabin just yet, but the press release says it has been tweaked by Audi Exclusive and benefits from special door sills which have been individually numbered and have an embossed “R8 LM” logo that’s also illuminated.
In terms of power, the Audi R8 LM for Canada comes with the very familiar 5.2-liter V10 naturally aspirated engine which in this application delivers 570 PS (419 kW) and a maximum torque of 540 Nm (398 lb-ft). All that power is transferred to an all-wheel drive quattro system via a seven-speed S tronic gearbox which enables the supercar to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in just 3.4 seconds and it will keep on accelerating until it reaches a maximum speed of 199 mph (320 km/h).
