Audi has taken the wraps off the S3 Cabriolet which is the fourth member of the S3 family after the three-door coupe, five-door Sportback and the four-door sedan. Under the hood it packs the same 2.0-liter, four-cylinder TFSI engine delivering 300 HP and 380 Nm to both axles via a 6-speed S tronic transmissions that sends the power to the quattro all-wheel drive arrangement. Audi says the model needs 5.4 seconds until 62 mph (100 km/h) and has an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
The Audi S3 Cabriolet tips the scales at 1,620 kg and is 25mm lower than the regular variant while its 18-inch rims are shod in 225/40 R18 tires. The vehicle benefits from a soft top that can be opened or closed at speeds of up to 31 mph (50 km/h) and the procedure takes about 18 seconds to complete. With the roof up the cargo area measures 285 liters but if you fold the roof down it will diminish to 245 liters.
