Audi has taken the wraps off the A8 Sport which will be sold exclusively in United Kingdom. This new version of the flagship model was created to serve as a replacement for the A8 Sport Executive and it’s based on the short wheelbase A8. It has been equipped with standard matrix beam LED headlights along with some front and rear cosmetic tweaks reminiscent of the S8 variant. It also adopts sportier side skirts and rides on 19-inch alloys. Photos of the interior cabin are not available at this point, but Audi says the car has a 600-watt Bose audio system, GPS navigation and Valcona leather upholstery.
The Audi A8 Sport is going to be available with two TDI engines, a 3.0-liter V6 developing 262 PS (192 kW) along with a beefier 4.2-liter V8 TDI with 385 PS (283 kW) and 850 Nm (626 lb-ft). When equipped with the larger motor, the full-size executive sedan needs only 4.7 seconds until 62 mph (100 km/h) and will return 39.2 mpg UK (7.2 liters / 100 km or 32.6 mpg US).
