Baojun 560 revealed at Auto Shanghai

General Motors is showcasing these days in China at Auto Shanghai 2015 the Baojun 560. It represents the company’s first ever crossover and has the following physical dimensions: 4620mm length, 1820mm width and 1750mm height, with a 2750mm wheelbase. It looks somewhat similar to the Volkswagen Tiguan and comes with a prominent front grille which is being flanked by LED-infused headlights featuring a sweptback design. Like you would expect from a crossover, it benefits from plastic body cladding which makes it look more rugged while the chrome trim adds a bit of style.

As far as the interior cabin is concerned, the Baojun 560 benefits from an infotainment system with GPS navigation and Bluetooth connectivity, along with a multi-function steering wheel, glossy black accents and a chrome trim. It also comes with a 60/40 split folding rear bench and has received a cruise control system.


In terms of power, the Baojun 560 is motivated by a four-cylinder, 1.8-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine capable of developing 135 bhp (101 kW) and a maxim torque of 186 Nm (137 lb-ft). Power is channeled to the wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox. The vehicle will be built on a Lotus chassis and will have four airbags, rearview camera, tire pressure monitoring system and an electronic stability control system.
