Bentley preparing luxurious SUV
It seems Bentley will soon add another model to its lineup as the legendary British brand is preparing to launch its very first SUV. The company’s CEO Wolfgang Schreiber said the firm is very close to giving the luxurious SUV the green light for production which is expected to be launched within the next three years. These attached photos depict the EXP 9 F SUV concept revealed by Bentley in Geneva last year but the production version will look totally different than this as it will approach the looks of other models in the company’s lineup. Chances are the car will be known as the Falcon when it hits the market.
Wolfgang Schreiber mentioned to the press that the SUV will utilize a platform shared with Audi, Porsche and Volkswagen and will be offered as standard with an eight-cylinder engine while for more money clients will be able to opt for an optional (and beefier) W12 power unit.
In related news, Schreiber said Bentley will use Audi or Porsche platforms for the development of the next-gen Continental GT coupe, Continental GTC convertible and Flying Spur sedan. They will use the modular longitudinal front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive created by Audi or the MSB rear- and all-wheel drive architecture developed by Porsche.
