There is a new tuning program available for the beautiful BMW 6-Series GranCoupe and this time it has been developed by the engineers from Hartge who have worked on the 640i and 640d models. The first one has a 3.0-liter, inline-six turbocharged engine producing 320 HP (235 kW) and a peak torque of 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). After the necessary tweaking, the power unit can churn 367 HP (270 kW) at 5,900 rpm and 520 Nm (383 lb-ft) of torque reached at 2,950 rpm. The extra horsepower was achieved by increasing the airflow by developing a proprietary stainless steel exhaust system with in-house middle and rear silencers and twin 80mm round-shaped tailpipes.
As for the BMW 6-Series 640d, this has a 3.0-liter diesel delivering 313 HP (230 kW) and 630 Nm (465 lb-ft) of torque. Hartge was able to lift its output to 362 HP (266 kW) at 4,400 rpm and a peak torque of 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) achieved at 1,800 rpm.
Besides the impressive power increase, the tuner is also offering sports springs for the 6-Series GranCoupe which lower the 640i by 25 mm at the front and 20 mm at the back, while the 640d is lowered by 30 mm front / 25 mm rear. In addition, Hartge can put custom floor mats, their emblem on the boot lid and hood, along with installing aluminum pedals kit and various types of rims available in different sizes.
