The BMW M5 has received a new aftermarket program courtesy of Hartge. The hot German sedan is available with a few styling tweaks such as a new front lip spoiler, mirror casings manufactured from carbon fiber and a wide variety of 21-inch alloy wheels.
Also available are lowering springs which bring the car down by 25mm at the front and 20mm at the back. At an additional cost, the tuner is offering a stainless steel sports exhaust system which should improve the M5’s soundtrack.
Inside the cabin there isn’t a lot going around, but you are able to order velour floor mats, aluminum pedals and the usual Hartge badging to remind you that you’re driving a tuned BMW M5.
The real magic can be found under the hood of the powerful sedan can get an extra boost for the impressive V8 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine which sees an increase of 82 HP (60 kW) and 96 lb-ft (130 Nm). If we do the math, the BMW M5 by Hartge is capable of outputting no less than 642 HP (472 kW) and 597 lb-ft (810 Nm) of torque.
Thanks to the added power, the M5 is able to complete the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 4.2 seconds, en route to a top speed of 190 mph (305 km/h).
