TVW Car Design tweaks the BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition

The limited-run BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition has received the aftermarket treatment from TVW Car Design. Work started on the outside where the 19-inch black alloy wheels have been eliminated in order to make room for a custom set one-piece BBS forged set with 255/30 ZR20 front & 285/30 ZR20 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. There’s also an adjustable KW Clubsport coilover suspension arrangement and a titanium Akrapovic exhaust featuring carbon fiber tips incorporated in a carbon rear diffuser. This new exhaust has lifted the engine’s power by 17 bhp and 17 Nm.

Speaking of the engine, the inline-six 3.0-liter turbo powering the BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition now has a remapped ECU and has been enhanced with a K&N air filter which has lifted the total output to 517 PS and 700 Nm, representing a serious jump in power from the standard 431 PS and 550 Nm.

TVW Car Design doesn’t say anything about the car’s performances, but it’s obviously quicker than the regular M4 which needs 4.3 seconds until 100 km/h when configured with the 6-speed manual transmission or 4.1 seconds with the 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

This tuning package is addressed to a very limited crowd as BMW built only 23 units of this special M4 Coupe.
