BMW prices 2014 M5’s Competition Package at $7,300
Several days ago BMW revealed the facelifted M5 and they also said that it’s going to be available with an optional Competition Package but haven’t released any details as far as pricing is concerned. We now have found out that the optional package will set you back $7,300, on top of the starting price of the 2014 M5 which stands at $90,900.
The Competition Package increases the output of the V8 4.4-liter from the stock 560 HP to 575 HP. Other goodies added include different M 20-inch alloy wheels available in two styles: 343M or 601M, with both being shod in performance rubbers.
Other changes worth mentioning include a 10mm decreased ride height, tuned dampers, stabilizer bar and suspension, along with a tweaked sports exhaust system that packs black chrome tailpipes. In addition, BMW has also updated the M Dynamic mode within the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) system. For more money you can get the 2014 M5 with a touch controller and/or with adaptive LED headlights.
