The 2014 2-Series Coupe is almost here as BMW has released the first teaser for the model which will be unveiled on October 25 before it goes on sale early next year. The 2-Series Coupe will be offered upon launch in three versions: 218i, 225i and 220d, while later in the process there will also be a fourth model in the form of the M235i. In addition, BMW plans on adding a flagship M2 model sometime in 2015 which is expected to carry a starting price of somewhere in the region of 45,000 pounds. All 2-Series models will have a RWD setup, but some of them will be optionally available with xDrive.
The aforementioned M235i and M2 are going to get a turbo 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine rated at 320 HP in the M235i and a minimum of 350 HP in the M2. The latter will hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in just 4.6 seconds so it will be 0.3s faster than the warm M235i model.
