Carlsson unleashes CK63 RSR with 700 HP

Well-known tuner Carlsson has revisited its upgrade package for the Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG. Set to make its public debut in March at the 2013 edition of the Geneva motor show, the Carlsson CK63 RSR is capable of outputting 515 kW (700 HP) at 5,700 rpm and generates an electronically-limited torque of 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) available between 2,000 rpm and 4,500 rpm.

Thanks to this powerful heart, the four-door coupe needs only 3.9 seconds from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h), on its way to a top speed of 211 mph (340 km/h).

Carlsson’s engineers installed a bespoke high performance stainless steel exhaust system which features an electronically-controlled sound valve and catalytic convertors. The car has been lowered by 30 mm compared to the stock car and it has been fitted with special coil-overs. Various styles of 19 and 20-inch rims are available upon request.

The front tracks have been widened by 25mm while at the front it has received vented discs measuring 405mm with 6-pot calipers. At the back the stock AMG brakes have been retained, but Carlsson has installed uprated pads. Other notable features include a carbon fiber front spoiler lip and an electrically adjustable rear spoiler.
