Chevrolet has revealed the 2014 Silverado Cheyenne Concept which will receive its public debut later this November at the SEMA show in Las Vegas. The interesting concept started off as a 2014 Silverado regular cab but has shaved off 200 lbs after receiving several carbon fiber parts such as the cargo box, tailgate and front & rear bumpers. It also benefits from Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, rear stabilizer bar, a lowered suspension and a Borla exhaust system. Inside it boasts a Camaro ZL1-like flat-bottomed steering wheel, Recaro body-hugging sport seats and several safety-related technologies including rear-vision camera and front/rear park assist.
While the standard model is powered by a 5.3-liter V8 engine, this concept comes with a 6.2-liter V8 rated at 420 bhp and 460 lb-ft. As a result of the engine transplant, the vehicle is 65 bhp and 77 lb-ft more powerful and sends its power through the series six-speed automatic transmission to the 19-inch alloys borrowed from the Camaro Z/28 which are covered in high performance tires.
