Chevrolet SS NASCAR pace car catches fire at Daytona Beach
Last weekend at the NASCAR race in Daytona, Beach Florida, a 2014 Chevrolet SS caught fire during the season-opening Sprint Unlimited exhibition race. As most of you know, the 2014 SS is actually based on the Holden Commodore and the car which went up in smoke was driven by Brett Bodine who decided to stop the car right after the cabin was filled in smoke and a small fire started at the back of the car. He got out of the vehicle along with the co-pilot, while the flaming SS was replaced by another vehicle to perform the pace car duties.
