Details about the upcoming 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Hellcat have started to emerge as SRT CEO Ralph Gilles has indirectly confirmed the model is going to be more powerful even than the SRT Viper. We already know the Hellcat is going to come with “stupid power” and will be “absolutely sinister” so expect to see a very exciting model powered by a V8 6.2-liter supercharged engine which will deliver more ponies than the V10 8.4-liter inside the SRT Viper where it puts out 640 bhp (477 kW).
According to various reports which emerged in the last few months, the V8 6.2-liter supercharged motor which will power the incoming 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Hellcat is going to be uprated to as much as 700 bhp. An official reveal should come out in the months to come.
