Dodge has announced the 2016 Viper ACR is now available on order in United States at a starting price of $117,895. It should be mentioned the price tag does not take into account the destination charges and gas guzzler tax so in the end you will have to pay even more. The quickest road-legal Viper ever made comes with an evolution of the V10 8.4-liter engine which has been tuned to deliver 645 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque while the stopping power comes from Brembo’s carbon ceramic matrix brakes.
The 2016 Viper ACR has been equipped with 19-inch lightweight alloys with Kumho high-performance tires while the new body grants the vehicle with a 50:50 weight distribution. The engine is coupled exclusively to a 6-speed manual gearbox while the rear end hosts an adjustable rear wing and a diffuser manufactured from carbon fiber.
Dodge will begin production in the third quarter of the year so deliveries should start before the end of 2015.
