Dodge shows off the 2015 Charger Pursuit
Dodge has prepared a 2015 Charger Pursuit developed specifically for police use in the United States. It’s based on the regular 2015 model year Charger so comes with the redesigned front fascia, updated hood, different fenders and a slender front grille. The rear bumper has been tweaked as well while the LED infused headlights also went through a series of modifications and now come with built-in daytime running lights. On the inside there are special front seats created in such a way so that they could easily accommodate belt-mounted gear.
In addition, the 2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit has a column-mounted shifter, a three-spoke steering wheel, digital instrument cluster and an Uconnect infotainment system packing a 5-inch screen. Motivation is provided by a V6 3.6-liter Pentastar engine generating 292 bhp and 260 lb-ft. There’s also a beefier V8 5.7-liter HEMI motor outputting 370 bhp and 390 lb-ft, enough for a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run in less than 5 seconds. RWD comes standard but Dodge is also offering an optional AWD arrangement for the HEMI model.
